Alexandros Svestonof graduated from the School of Dentistry of the [National and Kapodistrian University of Athens](https://www.dent.uoa.gr) in 2018, with a final grade of Very Good. During the early years of his professional career, he worked at [Monogyios Dental Specialists](https://monogyios.com.gr) in Glyfada alongside periodontist Iakovos Monogyios. Through this collaboration, he gained his first clinical experience and developed a particular interest in Periodontology.

During his military service, he served as a dentist at the Military Hospital of Samos, where he was responsible for the Dental Department. He subsequently volunteered as a general dentist at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens until the completion of his military service.

In 2021, he began his postgraduate education in France, completing the Certificat d’Études Supérieures (CES) in Periodontology at the [Université de Strasbourg](https://www.unistra.fr). He was subsequently admitted to the three-year postgraduate programme in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at [Université Paris Cité](https://u-paris.fr), accredited by the [European Federation of Periodontology (EFP)](https://www.efp.org).

His clinical training took place at Hôpital Rothschild in Paris and covered the full spectrum of contemporary periodontal and peri-implant therapy, including non-surgical periodontal treatment, regenerative and mucogingival surgery, as well as dental implant placement. Alongside his university and hospital training, he worked in private dental clinics in Paris, collaborating with clinicians from various dental specialties.

Following the completion of his specialist training, he returned to Greece. He currently practises as a periodontist and implant surgeon in Athens and Larnaca, Cyprus, providing specialist care in periodontology, implant dentistry and peri-implant diseases.

He is fluent in Greek, English and French.
