# Chara Ninou DDS MSc

Chara was born and raised in Athens.

She graduated from the School of Dentistry, [University of Athens](https://www.dent.uoa.gr), in 2018, with a grade of Very Good (8.4/10). In 2023 she completed her postgraduate studies in the specialty of Paediatric Dentistry at the same university. Her research on informing parents and guardians about the treatment of caries in the primary dentition was published in the [European Archives of Paediatric Dentistry](https://link.springer.com/journal/40368) in June 2025.

Chara has volunteered at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens and in the dental department of the Greek delegation of [Doctors of the World](https://mdmgreece.gr), and she continues to take part in the volunteer work of the Piraeus Dental Association and of [The Smile of the Child](https://www.hamogelo.gr).

She takes an active part in international and national conferences and seminars to keep her knowledge and training current, and she is a member of the preventive and scientific committee of the Piraeus Dental Association, of the Greek Society of Paediatric Dentistry and of the [European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry](https://www.eapd.eu).

Her love for children and for her science is her ally in the daily effort to help young children overcome their fear, and to make their smiles shine.

Chara practises at the [Kidzdent paediatric dental clinic](https://kidzdent.gr) (V. Kafourou, Ilioupoli).

She speaks Greek and English.
